Escondido Soccer Club and SDSC Surf Escondido is always looking for passionate individuals who want to help grow youth soccer in Escondido and throughout North County San Diego. Our recreational and competitive soccer programs depend on dedicated coaches who are committed to developing players both on and off the field.
Youth soccer would not exist without coaches who are willing to volunteer their valuable time, energy, and leadership to the next generation of players. Coaches play a critical role in the growth of the sport and the development of young athletes. The time spent teaching, encouraging, and mentoring players helps build confidence, character, teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong love for soccer. We are incredibly grateful for every coach who chooses to give back to the game and invest in our soccer community.

Recreational Coaching
Our recreational soccer program focuses on player development, learning, teamwork, and fun. Recreational coaches help young players build confidence and develop fundamental soccer skills in a positive and supportive environment.
Many of our recreational soccer coaches are parents and community members who want to make a difference in the lives of children throughout Escondido and North County San Diego. Previous coaching experience is helpful, but it is not required. Escondido Soccer Club provides guidance, resources, and support to help coaches feel prepared and confident throughout the season.
Coaching recreational soccer is a rewarding way to stay involved in the sport while helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.
Competitive Coaching
Our competitive soccer program is designed for players who are looking for advanced training and a higher level of competition. Competitive coaches help players continue their development through structured practices, skill development, and strong team culture.
We are looking for coaches who are passionate about youth soccer development, leadership, communication, and creating a positive learning environment for players in Escondido and surrounding San Diego communities. Previous coaching or playing experience is preferred, and coaching licenses or certifications are a plus.
Competitive soccer coaches have an opportunity to make a lasting impact on players by helping them develop technically, mentally, and personally while competing at a high level.

Competitive coaches are also expected to hold or pursue appropriate U.S. Soccer coaching licenses based on the level and age group they coach.
All coaches must remain in good standing with Escondido Soccer Club, Cal South, SoCal Soccer League, U.S. Soccer, and any affiliated governing organizations.
